# Alpend joins DeFiLlama with public tracking for its Canton lending markets

Alpend is now [listed on DeFiLlama](https://defillama.com/protocol/alpend), giving its Canton lending markets a public dashboard for total value locked and active loans. The team [announced the listing on September 27](https://x.com/AlpendHQ/status/2104249489745953092).

Users can follow the platform's balances over time and view borrowing separately from the assets remaining in its lending pools. The listing places Alpend in DeFiLlama's lending category, alongside other protocols tracked by the analytics service.

DeFiLlama publishes the method behind the figures. Alpend users supply CC, USDCx and CBTC to its pools and can borrow against collateral. For this listing, total value locked is the value supplied minus the amount borrowed out. Outstanding borrowing appears separately under active loans.

That distinction matters when comparing figures. A total-deposits number includes assets that may already have been lent to borrowers, while this TVL measure counts the assets still held in the pools.

The balances come from the CCTools API, which collects and standardizes Canton asset data. DeFiLlama also links to the code used for the integration.
