# Broadridge launches DLX for tokenized markets with Canton support

Broadridge has [launched DLX](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/broadridge-launches-dlx-an-always-on-digital-asset-infrastructure-platform-for-tokenized-markets-302873107.html), a platform that brings the creation, trading and management of tokenized financial assets into one system. It includes capabilities to connect to DTCC’s Tokenization Service through Canton and other networks.

Announced on September 9, DLX is designed for banks, asset managers and wealth firms. It supports bonds, shares, funds, private markets and money-market instruments, with round-the-clock transaction capabilities.

The platform builds on Broadridge’s [Distributed Ledger Repo technology](https://www.broadridge.com/capability/middle-and-back-office-solutions/post-trade-processing/distributed-ledger-repo-solutions), known as DLR, which processes more than $350 billion in daily activity. DLR is used for repo transactions, where institutions raise short-term cash against securities, and for moving the collateral that supports those deals. Its technology is built on Canton.

Broadridge has already [expanded its existing trading and processing systems](https://www.broadridge.com/press-release/2026/broadridge-announces-integrated-infrastructure-for-tokenized-securities) to handle tokenized securities alongside traditional assets. Those systems cover records, reporting, settlement and investor services, allowing firms to bring blockchain-based assets into the operations they already run.

DLX also gives clients a choice over custody. They can hold assets themselves, use an external custodian or combine the two approaches.

[DTCC’s Tokenization Service](https://www.dtcc.com/products-and-services/digital-assets/tokenization) is expected to launch later in 2026, with Canton among its planned supported networks. Broadridge plans to announce further uses for DLX.
