# CANAL adds PartyLayer wallet connectivity on Canton

CANAL has [added PartyLayer wallet connectivity](https://x.com/Canalfinance_/status/2103022604022116518), linking its asset platform to wallets already used across Canton.

The integration lets users connect, sign and authorize transactions through their existing wallet. CANAL handles the asset side of the service, while PartyLayer provides the connection between the application and the user's wallet. [Both teams confirmed the collaboration](https://x.com/partylayerkit/status/2103026535854899218) on September 24.

CANAL is developing iSOL, a Canton-native token designed to be redeemable and backed one-for-one by SOL. Its [product outline](https://x.com/Canalfinance_/status/2099377510442312043) describes an asset intended for use across Canton wallets, trading venues and lending applications.

The issuance process covers both minting new iSOL and redeeming it. CANAL's integration announcement describes visibility into those steps from the initial request through completion.

Wallet connectivity is a separate part of making that asset usable. PartyLayer supplies a common connection for Canton applications, reducing the need for each one to build its own link to individual wallets. Users can keep the wallet they already know while interacting with CANAL.

CANAL has also invited users to register for iSOL access updates through its [website](https://canal.finance/). The wallet announcement does not set a public launch date for the asset.
