# Cantex opens trading in four Trakx crypto indices

Cantex has [opened trading in four crypto indices issued by Trakx](https://x.com/Cantex_io/status/2097629174986936568). The September 9 launch brings baskets of tokens focused on artificial intelligence, decentralized finance, smart-contract blockchains and the real-world-asset sector to its Canton exchange.

An index groups several assets into one product. Traders can use it to gain exposure to a theme without selecting and buying every token separately.

The AI index covers cryptocurrencies associated with artificial intelligence. DeFi groups tokens from decentralized finance protocols, while Blockchain covers tokens from smart-contract platforms. The RWA offering focuses on crypto tokens connected to the real-world-asset sector.

[Trakx’s product range](https://trakx.io/products/) uses these themed baskets to track different parts of the crypto market. Its AI and RWA indices give each constituent an equal weighting and rebalance monthly, adjusting the basket as part of that regular review.
