# Canton Foundation sets 10-day update window for grant applicants

The Canton Foundation has given applicants with open Development Fund proposals [10 days to update their submissions](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/pull/778#issuecomment-5775883279) for the move to Dev Fund 2.0. Notices posted on September 22 ask teams to connect their work to the fund’s published priorities and explain how it would benefit the ecosystem.

Applicants need to identify the funding category their proposal addresses, who would benefit and how the work would encourage adoption of Canton. Proposals left unchanged will be closed and will not be considered in the next funding cycle.

The fund’s [published roadmap](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/blob/main/2026-2028-strategic-roadmap.md#requests-for-proposals) sets out areas where development work is needed, including payments, wallet integration, developer training and security. These priorities give applicants specific problems to address, such as making financial applications easier to connect or providing reusable tools for other teams building on Canton.

The Foundation also [introduced checks for new proposals](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/pull/852) on September 22. Applications without an identifiable funding category can be closed, with instructions to revise and reopen them.
