Modulo’s rewards end October 31, Grofty has added Cantex Connect swaps, and Edel reports more than $10 million in stock-token trading volume. Developer updates include a rebuilt hub, local testing tools and funding requests for code generation and milestone checks.

This edition covers developments since the [previous roundup](https://cantonnews.org/canton-roundup-ekiden-s-upgrade-deadline-wallet-checks-and-hackcanton-s-finalists) was published on October 20 at 14:42 UTC, through October 21 at 01:06 UTC. It also includes three earlier updates not included in that edition: Nuxaris’s settlement application, Raposza’s beta introduction and Developer Hub V3.

## Wallets and trading

### 1\. Modulo changes subscription benefits

Modulo is [shifting subscription benefits toward traffic credits and discounts](https://x.com/ModuloFinance/status/2112611961120714909) as rewards end on October 31. Traffic credits help cover network transaction costs. Existing subscriptions and point conversion will continue, with no action required from users.

### 2\. Selay sets October 26 for swap-fee rebates

Selay’s [Swap Season is scheduled to begin October 26](https://x.com/selay_wallet/status/2112564852061519907), offering 60% of Cantex swap fees back weekly in CC for swaps through Selay. The rebate is calculated on the swap fee, not the amount traded.

Selay’s percentage applies to swap fees, not trade value._

### 3\. Cantex Connect goes live in Grofty

[Grofty](https://cantonnews.org/projects/grofty) has [made Cantex Connect available in its DEX](https://x.com/grofty_labs/status/2112568656114995628). Users can compare quotes, choose that route, approve a transfer from their Grofty wallet and receive the output directly.

[Cantex Connect lets compatible wallets trade through transfers](https://cantonnews.org/cantex-launches-cantex-connect-bringing-wallet-agnostic-trading-to-its-exchange). Grofty says it does not take custody of users’ funds on this route.

### 4\. Edel reports more than $10 million in stock-token volume

[Edel](https://cantonnews.org/projects/edel-finance) says its stock products have [passed $10 million in on-chain trading volume](https://x.com/edeldotfinance/status/2112581848786501908). This is the project’s trading-volume figure, not a measure of money deposited or assets held.

The product range has expanded beyond the original index-linked tokens, with [Nvidia- and SpaceX-linked tokens added on Cantex](https://cantonnews.org/cantex-adds-edel-tokens-linked-to-nvidia-and-spacex) earlier this month. The new milestone covers Edel Stocks as a product group.

### 5\. Pinnaccle secures a 5 million CC lock

Pinnaccle has [reported a 5 million CC lock with Canton Strategic Holdings through Cashen](https://x.com/pinnaccle_xyz/status/2112633170139226152), as part of meeting Canton’s Featured App requirements. The team is building recurring trading strategies, including automated purchases.

[Cashen connects applicants with holders willing to supply locked CC](https://cantonnews.org/cashen-passes-500-million-locked-canton-coin-worth-over-60-million) for the network requirement.

## Builders and operators

### 6\. Developer Hub V3 brings proposals and tools together

The Canton Foundation has [launched Developer Hub V3](https://x.com/CantonFdn/status/2112553545908326663), rebuilding the interface around questions to its AI assistant. The side navigation now surfaces approved Canton Improvement Proposals and Development Fund proposals.

The [hub also has a browsable tool directory](https://dev-hub.canton.foundation/) with Official, Partner and Dev Fund filters. For a developer following a network change, that puts relevant proposals and implementation resources in one place.

### 7\. Splice 0.9.3 is ready for deployment

Splice 0.9.3 is ready for deployment on [MainNet](https://lists.sync.global/g/validator-announce/message/226) and [TestNet](https://lists.sync.global/g/validator-announce/message/227). At the time of each readiness notice, two-thirds of Super Validator nodes had upgraded, including the Global Synchronizer Foundation’s node.

The package includes Canton 3.6.3 and its [fix for slow PostgreSQL database lookups](https://docs.canton.network/global-synchronizer/release-notes/splice#0-9-3) that could put extra load on participant nodes. Deployment readiness does not mean every validator has completed the upgrade.

### 8\. Raposza introduces a local testing suite

[Raposza’s public beta](https://forum.canton.network/t/raposza-tools-for-canton-development/9320) brings a local Canton test network and data-inspection tools into one interface for Windows and Linux. Developers can run the local network without Docker, inspect contracts and their history, and query data using a SQL-like language.

The announcement invites feedback on a still-limited Workbench interface. Its appeal is practical: teams can prepare test data and inspect what happened without assembling each tool separately.

## Applications and funding requests

### 9\. Cancore and Nuxaris seek settlement recognition

[Cancore](https://lists.sync.global/g/accountability/message/146) and [Nuxaris](https://lists.sync.global/g/accountability/message/144) have requested recognition for delivery-versus-payment transactions, where both sides of an exchange complete together or neither completes. The [designation affects network-reward accounting](https://intro.canton.foundation/featured-app-coupon-guidance.html), not regulatory approval. Both requests remain applications.

Cancore’s request concerns the Canton settlement legs of qualifying multi-asset swaps involving Ethereum-compatible networks. Nuxaris’s request covers swaps between CC and assets from Featured Apps, including swaps between two such assets. It explicitly excludes bridge transfers, separating this application from the earlier [BNB bridging and cBNB swap launch](https://cantonnews.org/nuxaris-launches-bnb-bridging-and-cbnb-swaps-on-canton).

### 10\. Obsidian seeks 3.67 million CC for two tools

Obsidian Systems is requesting a combined 3.67 million CC through the [Canton Development Fund](https://cantonnews.org/inside-canton-s-development-fund-as-13-proposals-go-to-a-vote). A [1.27 million CC proposal](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/pull/916) would generate Python code for interacting with existing Daml packages, reducing work that developers currently repeat by hand.

A separate [2.4 million CC request](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/pull/917) would fund a bot that checks milestone evidence and delivered code before committee review. People would still make the decisions: the bot could not vote, approve a milestone or pay a grant. Both proposals are seeking a Champion, a Tech & Ops Committee member who helps guide a proposal through review.

### 11\. Wallet Gateway amendment proposes a delivery partner

An [open amendment](https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/pull/914) would add Blockdaemon as delivery partner for Milestone 6 of the Wallet Gateway reference implementation. The [Gateway connects an institution’s validator with its chosen signing system](https://cantonnews.org/insights/canton-unlocks-the-wallet-stack-for-developers), allowing existing custody arrangements to work with Canton applications.

The amendment would split the milestone’s existing 800,000 CC allocation into 480,000 CC for Blockdaemon and 320,000 CC for Digital Asset. The overall 6.7 million CC request remains unchanged. This is a proposed delivery change, not a new funding award.
