[**Cashen**](https://cantonnews.org/projects/cashen), the Canton Coin locking marketplace that enables institutions to lock CC for CIP-116 Featured App and Super Validator requirements, has joined the Canton Foundation's Collateral Subcommittee, chaired by DTCC.

The subcommittee brings together financial institutions and digital asset firms shaping the collateral infrastructure of Canton Network, which now supports $9 trillion in monthly institutional volume. Cashen will contribute to the workstream on Cross-Application Collateral Mobility, working alongside DTCC, BNY, Euroclear, Broadridge, and others.

The appointment places Cashen's credit and delegation infrastructure directly inside the governance body overseeing how collateral moves across Canton's institutional ecosystem. As the platform through which Super Validators and Featured Apps access locked CC under CIP-116, Cashen's participation in the collateral workstream connects its operational role on the network to the policy layer shaping how that infrastructure evolves.
