# CCTools opens its data API as Temple TVL tracking goes live on DeFiLlama

CCTools has [launched a data API](https://x.com/cantontools/status/2102228098213114007) that lets developers bring Canton network information into their own apps, bots and dashboards.

The service gives them one documented connection for validator information, network activity, trading markets and the ecosystem directory. A developer could use it to display liquidity pools, follow activity over time or build a directory of Canton projects without collecting each set of data separately.

The API is read-only. It provides information rather than submitting transactions or moving assets. Its [documentation](https://cctools.network/api-docs) includes examples and a machine-readable specification that developers can use to build their integrations.

A free tier is available after Human Score verification, with a limit of 60 requests per minute per connection. Verified Canton validator operators can apply for 12 months of free access.

The same data infrastructure is already supporting a public view of [Temple on DeFiLlama](https://defillama.com/protocol/temple). CCTools supplies the balances used to calculate the exchange's total value locked, or TVL, which measures the value of assets deposited in its trading contracts.

DeFiLlama's methodology counts CC, USDCx, CBTC and USDA in those contracts, including both locked and unlocked balances. It excludes assets in transit during settlement and explicitly identifies CCTools as its data source.

The coverage gives readers a published method for checking what Temple's TVL figure includes, alongside a feed other applications can build on.
