Console Wallet has opened wider access to its Visa card after completing initial testing, marking the first card on Canton Network that allows users to spend Canton Coin directly in the real world without selling on an exchange or using an offramp.

The card issues instantly as a virtual card inside Console Wallet, requiring only a short identity check before it is ready to use. Users can add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay with CC or any other asset held in the wallet. At a point of sale, it is a standard contactless tap. The funding happens from the wallet in the background.

Console Wallet is self-custodial, meaning private keys remain on the user's own device rather than on Console's servers. The wallet supports Canton Network, Ethereum, and Base, and is available as both a browser extension and a mobile app. The Visa card sits on top of the existing wallet infrastructure, connecting a user's balance directly to everyday spending.

The initial test was kept deliberately simple. Console's founder made the first live payment himself, buying a coffee with Canton Coin at a real terminal with a normal receipt at the end. The point, as the team described it, was not the size of the transaction but what it represented: a digital asset functioning as money in an ordinary setting without any friction between the wallet and the payment.

Access is now open to a wider group. Users can get started at [**consolewallet.io**](https://consolewallet.io/).
