# Edel’s SPYe and QQQe reach $1 million in combined trading volume

[Edel’s](https://cantonnews.org/projects/edel-finance) SPYe and QQQe have reached $1 million in combined trading volume in less than a week, an early milestone for the two Canton-issued tokens linked to major U.S. stock-market indices.

The [September 29 update](https://x.com/edeldotfinance/status/2104922476719317285) measures trading across the two assets together. It follows their [September 22 listing on Cantex](https://x.com/Cantex_io/status/2102496646072545307), which added another venue for Edel’s tokens on Canton.

SPYe provides exposure linked to the S&P 500, while QQQe is linked to the Nasdaq-100. They are [debt instruments](https://x.com/Cantex_io/status/2102496656356692014), rather than direct ownership of the underlying ETF shares.

Under [Edel’s backing model](https://docs.edel.finance/docs/edel-stocks), each Canton token is backed by a corresponding third-party tokenized asset, which is itself backed by the underlying share. The tokens are issued on Canton and can move between supported wallets and applications.

The next stage is a wider range of assets and trading venues. Edel’s roadmap places U.S. blue-chip stocks ahead of global equities and smaller companies, while EDEL staking remains upcoming. Planned staking features include lower trading fees, reward multipliers and weekly CC yield.

Those additions are separate from the trading milestone already reached. Edel’s [product roadmap](https://x.com/edeldotfinance/status/2102396890231062749) sets out the planned releases, with staking identified as the next step in the latest update.
