# HANDL adds EDEL transfers between Base and Canton

HANDL has [added EDEL to its in-app bridge](https://x.com/HandlPay/status/2093080364277289203), allowing users to move the token between Base and Canton in either direction. Announced on August 27, the addition expands a bridge that already supported [$HANDL and USDC](https://handlpay.ghost.io/monthly-recap-july-2026/).

Edel's token is known as [EDEL on Base and EDELx on Canton](https://docs.edel.finance/). HANDL introduced support for EDELx in July, when users gained the ability to [receive, hold and swap it for $HANDL](https://x.com/HandlPay/status/2072305675921727554).

Edel is [preparing the public beta of Edel Markets](https://x.com/edeldotfinance/status/2091895897231708550), its trading platform on Canton. [EDELx staking is also planned](https://x.com/HandlPay/status/2093080364277289203).
