# IntellectEU Launches CatalyX Package Manager 2.1 for Canton Network

[**IntellectEU**](https://www.intellecteu.com/) has released [**CatalyX**](https://www.catalyx.solutions/) Package Manager 2.1, a web-based platform for discovering, distributing, and downloading Daml packages on the Canton Network. The update adds private distribution and access control, addressing a gap in how Canton participants manage application deployment across a distributed network.

The platform replaces ad-hoc file sharing with a standardised approach to package management. Developers can publish packages publicly or privately, with access managed from a single interface that supports approving, denying, or revoking access and maintains a full record of who has access at any time. A personal library view consolidates published packages, retrieved packages, and access management in one place.

On hosting, CatalyX supports two approaches. Packages can be hosted directly through the platform or linked to an institution's own artifactory, allowing organisations to keep their existing infrastructure practices intact.

Version 2.1 also includes subscriptions and email notifications, allowing participants to follow specific packages and publishers and receive alerts when new versions are released or access changes occur. Onboarding has been simplified with a flow that connects directly to a node. CatalyX does not store or see user credentials at any point.

The platform is free to use.
