# Marex’s Canton Super Validator program moves to an implementation vote

Marex’s approved Canton Super Validator program has reached an [implementation vote on MainNet](https://lists.sync.global/g/supervalidator-announce/message/613). The proposal would add its hosted reward weight to the network configuration, following approval of the wider program in September.

The [live vote](https://docs.global.canton.network.sync.global/voterequests) would raise MPC-Holding-Inc’s reward weight from 35 to 45 to accommodate Marex’s weight of 10. It had five votes in favour and none against when checked on October 1. Voting closes on October 6 at 05:10 UTC, with a target effective time of October 7 at 05:10 UTC.

This is an implementation step, not a new vote on whether to approve the original program. [CIP-0126 was approved on September 25](https://github.com/canton-foundation/cips/blob/main/cip-0126/cip-0126.md), establishing a maximum earnable weight of 10 tied to milestones.

The hosted arrangement does not release all of those rewards to Marex. Rewards initially accrue to an unclaimed pool. Marex must demonstrate that the agreed milestones have been completed before the relevant rewards can be released and weight assigned for its ongoing participation. That process requires review and further Super Validator approval.

Marex’s program covers planned work on institutional settlement, collateral and regulated customer access. Its specific commercial commitments and deadlines remain confidential.

The approved rules also require Marex to operate its own Super Validator within six months if its awarded weight rises above 2.5. For now, the open vote concerns the hosted setup needed to implement the milestone program.
