# Nuxaris locks 25 million CC as cBNB seeks Featured App status

Nuxaris has [locked 25 million Canton Coin through Cashen](https://x.com/Nuxaris/status/2108644513824817293) for cBNB and applied for Featured App status for the asset. The move supports its plans to make cBNB available across more of Canton's trading venues.

cBNB brings BNB onto Canton, with each token backed by one BNB held on BNB Chain. Users can already bridge BNB through Nuxaris and swap cBNB for CC. When cBNB is redeemed, the token is burned before the corresponding BNB is released.

The next step is wider trading beyond Nuxaris itself. OneSwap already has a CC/cBNB pool. Cantex and Cancore have signed listing agreements, while Tradecraft has confirmed plans to list the asset. Trading on Cantex and Tradecraft is tied to cBNB receiving Featured App status.

The reward request covers transfers between independent holders and trades on other venues. It excludes activity inside Nuxaris's own wallet and bridge, as well as its own issuance, redemption and liquidity operations. Signed venue agreements would pass 60% to 70% of Nuxaris's net issuer rewards to the venue generating the qualifying activity.

For users, [holding, receiving and sending cBNB](https://www.cbnb.network/docs/) does not require an issuer allowlist. Creating new tokens or redeeming them for BNB requires onboarding with Nuxaris.

This is a separate request for cBNB, rather than the existing Nuxaris bridge. The [public Featured App application](https://lists.sync.global/g/tokenomics/message/1357) seeks recognition for an asset already live on MainNet, with broader venue access linked to approval.
