# Temple Approved for DvP Treatment on Canton

Temple has received approval for delivery versus payment treatment under Canton’s Featured App Coupon Guidance.

The [official decision](https://lists.sync.global/g/tokenomics-announce/message/376) applies to qualifying trades on Temple where the asset and payment settle together in a single Canton transaction. These trades may now receive DvP asset marker treatment instead of the default treatment for operational batching.

DvP is a straightforward settlement model. The buyer receives the asset at the same time the seller receives payment. Both sides settle together or neither side settles.

[Temple](https://lists.sync.global/g/accountability/message/110) uses this structure across its non-custodial order book. Each trade has an asset side and a cash side, with both completing in the same transaction. Users keep control of their assets until the trade settles, and Temple does not hold customer funds.

Temple has used this model since launching in January 2026. The approval places qualifying trades under the DvP treatment set out in Canton’s Featured App guidance. Temple’s existing Featured App status stays the same.
