ACME
via @CantonFdn
Every protocol change on Canton goes through the same process. Step 1: A CIP is drafted and submitted to the public repository on GitHub. Anyone can submit. Step 2: The relevant Working Group reviews the proposal: Tokenomics, Technical, or Governance depending on scope. Step 3: The Working Group recommends, modifies, or rejects. If recommended, the CIP advances to a Super Validator vote. Step 4: 55 Super Validators vote. Approval requires a two-thirds supermajority. No single entity has veto power. Step 5: Once approved, implementation follows the standard upgrade path: DevNet, TestNet, MainNet. 117+ CIPs have been approved through this process. Open, documented, and accountable.
