CantonNews exists to help readers understand the Canton Network ecosystem through news, research, project coverage, educational guides, security resources, glossary content, media, market context, and ecosystem data.
CantonNews covers Canton Network updates, Canton Coin, ecosystem projects, press releases, wallets, developers, validators, security, events, institutional blockchain, tokenization, privacy, compliance, market activity, and related ecosystem developments.
Coverage is selected based on relevance to Canton Network, importance to readers, source quality, ecosystem impact, timeliness, and educational value.
We prioritize information that helps users, builders, developers, validators, investors, institutions, and ecosystem participants understand what is happening and why it matters.
We publish accurate, useful, and clearly sourced information. Every news article names where its information came from: official announcements, project materials, public on-chain and network data, primary documents, direct submissions, or credible reporting. Where a story is drawn from a single external source, that source is linked at the end of the article.
Before publishing, we check claims against the primary source — the announcement, the transaction, the governance vote, the filing — rather than against another outlet's summary. Where a claim cannot be verified we say so in the text, and third-party material we publish as received is labeled (see Press Releases) rather than presented as our own reporting.
Market data, network statistics, exchange information, wallet details, project listings, and ecosystem data change quickly; those pages show live or recently refreshed figures and we update them as new information becomes available.
CantonNews reporting is built on named, citable sources. We do not publish material claims on the basis of anonymous tips. If we ever quote a source who cannot be named — for example an employee describing an unreleased product — the article explains why the source is unnamed and what we did to corroborate the claim independently.
News coverage focuses on timely developments across the Canton ecosystem.
Research and insights may include analysis, commentary, founder perspectives, project spotlights, case studies, and explanations that go beyond headline updates.

Insights also carries writing first published elsewhere by Canton ecosystem projects and contributors — blog posts, X Articles, reports, and case studies we consider worth a wider audience. Republished pieces are labeled as such at the top of the page, name the original author and where the piece first appeared, link to the original, and credit the original author as copyright holder. CantonNews does not claim authorship of republished material and does not submit it to news aggregators as its own reporting.
CantonNews may publish press releases submitted by projects, companies, partners, or ecosystem participants.
Press releases are labeled “Press Release” at the top of the article, and the byline names the issuing organisation, which is credited as the author; CantonNews is the publisher, not the writer. They may contain claims supplied by third parties that CantonNews has not independently verified and do not represent CantonNews editorial endorsement.
CantonNews may publish sponsored content, promoted listings, advertisements, banners, project spotlights, campaigns, or other commercial placements.
Sponsored or promoted content is labeled as such — “Sponsored,” “Promoted,” or “Advertisement” — both in listings and on the piece itself. Community content produced for a paid creator bounty or a sponsor's direct deal carries a “Sponsored · <sponsor>” tag and a disclosure under the byline naming the sponsor; links inside such pieces are marked rel="sponsored".
Every community submission is reviewed by CantonNews before it is approved for the site. The one exception is timing: entries to a creator bounty are published when submitted so the sponsor and readers can see them during the bounty, and are reviewed by CantonNews and the sponsor when winners are selected. An entry that fails review is removed.
Commercial relationships do not guarantee favorable editorial coverage, ranking, placement, or endorsement.
Project listings, wallet pages, ecosystem profiles, and featured project pages are provided for informational and discovery purposes.
A listing on CantonNews does not mean CantonNews endorses, audits, guarantees, or recommends a project, wallet, protocol, exchange, validator, or service.
Readers should always do their own research before using any third-party application, wallet, exchange, protocol, or service.
CantonNews discloses material sponsorships, paid placements, commercial relationships, and other context that helps readers evaluate content.
Contributing authors are not CantonNews staff; most work at projects in the Canton ecosystem. Their role and employer appear under their name on every piece they write and on their public profile, so readers can see the relationship when an author writes about their own project. Contributing authors are not paid by CantonNews for their articles, and the editorial desk may decline or edit a piece that reads as promotion rather than reporting.
Pages that contain affiliate, sponsored, or paid placement relationships disclose those relationships on the page itself.
CantonNews uses AI tools in two places, and in neither does AI publish anything on its own.
Drafting. Some desk articles begin as an AI-assisted draft: an AI model produces a first version from a published source — an announcement, a report, a governance post — which is saved as an unpublished draft. Every article is then read, fact-checked against that source, edited and approved by a human editor before it goes live. No article is published automatically, and the editor is responsible for its accuracy. Pieces by contributing authors are written by the author.
Reader Q&A. The “Ask CantonNews AI” assistant on articles and at /ask answers reader questions using only our published content and is clearly labelled as AI. Its answers are generated on request, are not editorial content, and are not stored as articles.
AI is never used to invent quotes attributed to real people or to produce market figures; those come from the source and are checked by the editor.
When a factual error is identified, CantonNews reviews it and updates the content. Material corrections are noted on the article so readers understand what changed, and the article's “Updated” date reflects the edit.
