Loop is built for the onboarding moment where a user wants to try Canton without first installing a browser extension or learning a complicated wallet setup. It is a browser-based, self-custodial access point into the ecosystem.

That sounds simple, but it is an important role. A network can have strong applications and incentives, but if users cannot get a wallet quickly, participation stalls before it starts. Loop is designed to keep that first step lightweight.

Loop is a browser-based self-custodial wallet for Canton accounts and supported assets. Its current application is hosted at wallet.looptech.io, with no separate browser extension required.

Assets and fees

The current asset support includes BETH alongside other supported Canton tokens. Fee Balance is a separate product feature; use current documentation for its operation and eligibility.

Builders and account support

Loop publishes SDK and support resources, including material for application and multiparty workflows. Existing users should use official account-specific support rather than assume an earlier migration window remains open.

Loop now uses its own brand and looptech.io addresses. The wallet migration is handled through the existing application, not through messages asking users to move funds.

A simple default wallet can be a force multiplier for Canton. Easier wallet creation means more users can reach DeFi apps, rewards campaigns, transfers, and ecosystem tools without dropping out at the first step.
