MahaWallet
Canton wallet access through the browser and Telegram.
MahaWallet provides a Canton browser-extension wallet alongside Telegram wallet and tipping workflows. Its documentation uses an access-code onboarding process. The project has announced service charges for supported transfers, separate from Canton network fees.
Background
MahaWallet focuses on Canton asset management and application access. Its browser documentation covers installation, access codes, external-wallet connections and recovery. Its Telegram product adds chat-based wallet and tipping flows.
Key Benefits
- Manage supported Canton assets.
- Connect the browser wallet to compatible Canton applications.
- Use the project’s Telegram wallet and tipping workflows.
- Follow documented access-code and recovery procedures.
Why Canton
MahaWallet is built for Canton accounts, assets and applications. It provides browser and chat-based ways to interact with those network workflows.
What Makes It Unique
The project offers both browser-extension and Telegram entry points. Its published fee notice distinguishes transfers between wallet users, transfers to other validators and movements between tipping and on-chain balances.
What's Included
Browser extension
The official website links to the Chrome Web Store and describes support for Chrome, Brave and Edge. The documentation covers installation, connecting to applications and using an external wallet.
Access and recovery
The documentation requires a valid access code for the extension and explains the waitlist and code-redemption process. Keep the recovery phrase secure: the provider says it cannot recover funds if that phrase is lost.
Telegram and tipping
MahaWallet’s Telegram product lets users manage supported assets and use tipping workflows. Tipping and on-chain balances are distinct parts of the product, with a transfer route between them.
Published transfer charges
The October fee announcement lists 2 CC for transfers to another MahaWallet user and 3 CC for transfers to another validator. Transfers between tipping and on-chain balances are free in both directions. The notice applies to CC, CETH, CBTC and USDCx transfers. These are MahaWallet service charges; check the current application for any additional network or route costs. Read the fee announcement.
Official Resources
Behind the Scenes
The browser wallet is described as non-custodial, with encrypted key material stored on the user’s device. The Telegram product and tipping balances should be evaluated through their own account and recovery flows.
Impact
MahaWallet adds browser and Telegram access points for Canton users, including supported asset transfers and application connections.
