Cashen’s September 8 update lists 65+ platforms onboarded and 330M+ Canton Coin in active locks.

The platform connects Featured Apps and Super Validators that need locked CC with institutional holders willing to supply it.

Through Cashen’s delegated locking model, an applicant pays a coin holder to lock CC on its behalf. The supplier keeps custody of the coins, while the lock counts toward the applicant’s Canton requirements.

This gives an applicant a way to arrange the required lock without committing the full amount from its own holdings. The supplier receives interest under terms agreed between the two parties.

Applicants list the amount they need and their preferred terms. Suppliers respond with offers, and the applicant chooses a counterparty. Each arrangement sets the interest rate, minimum lock period and notice required to recall the coins.

Cashen is open to institutional participants. Onboarding requires business verification and a signed Network Participation Agreement before a participant can list, match or supply a deal.

Cashen operates the marketplace, while the agreements themselves are between its participants. The company is not a legal counterparty to those deals.
