Yuval Rooz, co-founder and CEO of Digital Asset, has confirmed that the Canton Improvement Proposal (CIP) extending Canton Coin burning to every node on the Canton Network is on track to be submitted this month.

Responding on X, Rooz confirmed the timeline remains intact, stating the team is preparing to move the proposal forward: "Yes. Last client we want to greenlight the proposal and we're submitting."

The confirmation follows co-founder Shaul Kfir's earlier remarks outlining plans to extend CC burning and validator rewards beyond the Global Synchronizer to all synchronizers operating on the network. Under that proposal, burn would scale with volume and throughput routed through each synchronizer, rather than applying a flat cost, bringing institutions and infrastructure providers running dedicated synchronizers into the same fee and reward structure used on the Global Synchronizer today.

Rooz's confirmation signals that Digital Asset is on schedule to formally submit the CIP draft within September, with a phased rollout still targeted for the first half of 2027. The change would not alter CC's minting schedule, it expands where burning occurs across the network rather than adding to token emissions.
