Five North has launched paid plans for the Lighthouse API, giving teams more choice in how much Canton data they can access while keeping a free option available.
Lighthouse is a public explorer and data platform for the Canton ecosystem. Its new structure includes five levels of API access, ranging from a free plan for smaller projects to a custom enterprise tier. The explorer remains included with every plan.
The free plan supports up to two requests per second and 3,000 API calls each day.
Starter costs $49 a month and supports up to 10 requests per second and 50,000 daily calls. Growth costs $399 a month for up to 25 requests per second and 300,000 daily calls.
Scale costs $999 a month and raises those limits to 50 requests per second and 1.5 million calls each day. Enterprise pricing and capacity are arranged separately.
Teams can compare the available plans and manage a subscription by logging in with a Loop wallet. The new rates are scheduled to take effect on September 15, 2026.
Existing users will be placed on the free tier by default. Those remaining on the free plan will need to generate a Free-plan API key, while teams moving to a paid plan can continue using their existing key with the new limits applied.
The free tier gives smaller projects a way to continue using Lighthouse without a subscription. The paid plans provide additional capacity for teams handling larger data requirements or managing several API keys.
