Canton has advanced its Splice rollout across three network environments, with new deployment notices issued on September 28. Splice is the software behind the Global Synchronizer, the shared infrastructure that connects applications across Canton.
The MainNet notice confirms that Splice 0.8.1 is ready for deployment. Two-thirds of Super Validator nodes had already upgraded, including the foundation's node, when the notice was issued.
The same threshold was reached for Splice 0.8.3 on TestNet and Splice 0.8.4 on DevNet. Each release is available from the Global Synchronizer Foundation.
MainNet handles live activity, while TestNet and DevNet provide separate environments for testing and development. Operators need to follow the release notice for the environment they run.
The release notes detail the changes in each version. All three include updates to the underlying Canton software. The TestNet release also fixes missing access points used by applications to request token transfers and allocations.
Each deployment notice links to node-status information so operators can check upgrade progress before proceeding.
