HANDL burns 23.48 million tokens as fee-linked program begins

HANDL has completed a 23.48 million-token burn. The program uses payment fees to set burn amounts, with treasury support accelerating the initial phase.

HANDL has burned 23,479,410 $HANDL tokens, marking the start of a program that links token burns to the fees earned by its payments platform.

The October 10 transaction was completed on Base, sending the tokens to a burn address. $HANDL is also available on Canton.

The first calculation uses $39,915 in net protocol fees earned during the third quarter of 2026. At a reference price of $0.0034 per token, that represents roughly 11.74 million $HANDL. Applying the initial 200% multiplier doubles that amount to approximately 23.48 million tokens.

HANDL’s first burn: $39,915 in Q3 net protocol fees, 200 percent initial multiplier and 23,479,410 HANDL burned on Base.

The Accelerated Burn Program uses treasury support to increase early burns beyond the amount covered by fees alone.

Newly earned fees set the starting amount for each burn. Lifetime net protocol fees determine which multiplier applies.

As revenue milestones are reached, the multiplier falls permanently. It does not reset at the start of a new reporting period. The longer-term plan is to fund burns with 50% of protocol fees, without additional treasury contributions.

$HANDL is used to pay fees across the payment platform. Its Canton presence includes a bridge and HANDL/CC trading pairs listed on OneSwap, Cantex and Tradecraft. The program ties future burns to the fees generated by the platform.
