The agreement pairs Temple’s trading technology with tZERO Securities’ broker-dealer and ATS operations. Implementation is pending.
Temple Digital Group has selected tZERO Securities to operate its planned tokenized securities platform on Canton, pairing its trading technology with an established broker-dealer and alternative trading system operator.
The agreement, announced on October 22, covers client onboarding and transaction services as well as operating the dedicated platform. Implementation is pending, with launch timing and product availability to be announced separately.
The technology and the operator
Temple supplies a matching engine, a request-for-quote module and a central limit order book, where bids and offers meet. The announcement describes a system for tokenized National Market System securities and exchange-traded products, putting US public-market instruments within its intended scope.
tZERO Securities, the group’s SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA member, would run the platform. An alternative trading system, or ATS, is an electronic venue that matches securities orders. It is distinct from a national securities exchange.
Temple would provide the trading tools, and tZERO would handle the brokerage and ATS operations. The agreement uses tZERO’s existing capabilities; it does not announce new SEC approval for the platform.
Where cash RFQ fits
Temple’s cash RFQ service is already available to institutional clients. In an RFQ, a trader specifies an asset and trade size, asks selected dealers for prices, then chooses whether to accept a firm quote.
Cash means an outright purchase or sale, not just currency trading. Temple’s cash-market description spans digital assets, tokenized commodities and equities. A securities trade can also be a cash trade; the useful distinction is the service being offered and who operates it.
Their status differs. Temple’s RFQ release says cash access is available and fixed-income and repo markets will follow as the required assets and counterparties become available. For the dedicated securities platform, tZERO’s dated October 22 announcement says implementation is pending.

Two announcements, different scope: cash RFQ is available to institutional clients; the dedicated securities platform awaits implementation. Connecting the trade to settlement
The planned platform’s settlement infrastructure is designed for atomic delivery-versus-payment and repo settlement on Canton. Atomic settlement links the asset and payment so both complete together, or neither completes. Repo finances a security through a sale and an agreement to repurchase it later.
Matching decides who trades and at what price. Settlement completes the exchange of assets. The proposed platform would bring trading, brokerage operations and Canton settlement into one service.
Clients now await the platform’s implementation and details of which products they will be able to trade.
