One thing I've noticed while researching the Canton ecosystem is this.
People often think blockchains grow only because developers keep building.
That's only half the story.
A blockchain also grows because people understand it.
Because someone takes the time to explain it.
Because someone writes about it.
Because someone creates videos, threads, tutorials, and educational content that helps others discover what's being built.
The problem is
For a long time, creators have done that work hoping someone would notice.
Hoping the project would see it.
Hoping the community would appreciate it.
CantonNews is trying to change that.
With its new Bounties & Offers feature, Canton projects can now reward creators directly for producing quality content.
Here's how it works:
β’ Projects can send direct paid offers to creators.
β’ They can launch public bounties with a reward pool, deadline, and number of winners.
β’ Creators publish original content and submit their work.
β’ Projects review the submissions and reward the creators they choose.
Simple.
Projects get visibility.
Creators get rewarded.
The ecosystem grows.
The first CantonNews bounty is already live with a 500 CC reward pool, where five creators will each receive 100 CC for outstanding submissions.
As someone who recently started documenting my Canton research through the Beyond the Hype series, I genuinely like this direction.
Good ecosystems aren't built by developers alone.
They're also built by educators.
Writers.
Researchers.
Designers.
Creators who make complex ideas easier for everyone else to understand.
It's nice to see those contributions finally have a place to be recognized.
