Edel Markets is moving closer to public beta through a new partnership with Supanova.
The product will be featured in the Canton app, which Supanova says has 80,000 users. Those users are expected to gain access to private perpetual markets covering equities and commodities.
For Edel, the partnership provides a direct route to an existing Canton audience. Users will be able to find the new markets through Supanova instead of having to discover another standalone application.
Edel Finance first launched in November 2025 as a lending protocol on EVM networks. The company has since shifted its focus toward building capital-markets infrastructure on Canton.
Edel Markets is a central part of that move. It is being developed as a venue where users can trade markets linked to tokenized equities and commodities without buying the underlying assets.
Privacy is one of the main features of the product. Edel’s official explainer says position sizes, margin and liquidation levels are designed to remain visible only to the people involved.
This gives traders a way to use a shared blockchain without publishing their full activity to the wider market. It is particularly relevant for larger participants who may not want their positions and strategies exposed.
Edel co-founder and CEO Andrés Soltermann has described the move to Canton as part of the company’s wider evolution. In a July update, he wrote that Edel had grown from its original lending product into a business focused on capital-markets infrastructure.
The company has also pointed to private transactions, settlement designed for regulated markets and connections with traditional financial assets as reasons for building on Canton.
Edel has not announced a date for the public beta. Early access is open, with users being admitted in phases.
