HANDL is a payment platform where social media usernames act as payment addresses.
Instead of exchanging bank details, wallet addresses, or phone numbers, you can simply send money to their handle.
HANDL acts as a routing layer behind the scenes. Payments move through licensed payment providers, remittance services, or on-chain networks depending on how the sender pays.
Recipients receive the funds in the account they set up, with payments routed to crypto addresses, banks, or e-wallets.
Here are a few things HANDL brings to the ecosystem:
- Send and receive payments using social media handles
- Payments using crypto or cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and Apple Pay
- Support for multiple blockchains and crypto assets
- Recipient wallet or banking details remain private
- A routing system forwards payments to the recipient
Supported social handles currently include:
- X
- Telegram
Additional platforms expected soon include:
- Warpcast
- Spotify
The platform also integrates with the Canton Network, which adds transaction privacy to the payment system.
According to the project’s milestones so far:
- 360,000 social media accounts onboarded (Jan 2026)
- More than 2 million transactions processed during 2025
- Support for $USDC, $HANDL, $USDCX and $CBTC
- Live across 7 blockchains
HANDL is also preparing for the launch of its token, with the listing date expected to be announced soon.
The token will become the first from the Canton ecosystem to be listed on a centralized exchange.
At its core the goal is simple. Make sending money online as easy as using a username.
