London Stock Exchange Group’s hosted Super Validator reward allocation is now active on Canton. An October 10 network update added LSEG’s weight of 10 through MPC-Holding-Inc, known as MPCH, putting September’s approved arrangement into effect.

The change took effect at 15:44 UTC. Canton’s MainNet configuration records MPCH’s total reward weight at 55, up from 45. The additional 10 belongs to LSEG’s hosted allocation; 55 is the host’s combined total.

This follows the implementation vote submitted on October 2. The request set October 10 as its target date, after LSEG’s Super Validator participation program received approval on September 22.

MPCH’s hosted reward weight increased from 45 to 55 with LSEG’s allocation of 10. Reward releases still require milestone evidence and approval.

Under the approved CIP-0124, LSEG can earn a maximum weight of 10 against agreed milestones. Its commitments, their deadlines and commercial details were agreed privately with Canton’s Tokenomics and Super Validator Accountability committees.

The hosted arrangement separates the allocation from payment. Rewards associated with the representative Super Validator go to Canton’s unclaimed rewards pool, rather than being paid directly to LSEG as they accrue.

Before LSEG can receive rewards, it must show that a milestone is complete and calculate the Canton Coin due. The accountability committee checks the work, while the Tokenomics Working Group reviews the milestone and amount. If approved, two-thirds of Super Validator operators must assign the rewards so LSEG’s validator can mint them.

If a deliverable misses its deadline, the remaining associated weight will be removed. The Tokenomics Working Group then recommends what should happen to the unclaimed rewards. The allocation is active; access to those rewards still depends on delivery.
