London Stock Exchange Group has won approval to participate in Canton’s Super Validator program. The network’s Super Validator operators approved CIP-0124 on September 22 with 12 votes in favor and one non-vote.

The approved plan allows LSEG to earn a maximum reward weight of 10 by meeting agreed milestones. That weight determines its potential share of Super Validator rewards, with each portion linked to evidence that the work has been completed.

LSEG’s experience spans capital markets, services that complete and manage trades, and payments. The public proposal sets out its participation in Canton, while specific commitments, deadlines and commercial details remain confidential until LSEG and the Canton Foundation decide they can be disclosed.

Super Validators support the Global Synchronizer, the shared infrastructure that coordinates transactions between Canton applications. They also vote on proposals and network changes.

An approved operator can handle the Super Validator arrangement on LSEG’s behalf, with LSEG covering the costs. Rewards would be held in the network’s unclaimed rewards pool pending the required checks and approvals.

LSEG must submit proof of completed milestones and a reward calculation. Following committee verification, two-thirds of Super Validator operators must authorize the relevant rewards and weight adjustments.
