Moonsong Labs is inviting more financial institutions to join its VaultKit design-partner program. The team is already working with an initial group on software for launching and running investment products on Canton.
VaultKit is built around vaults, pooled investment structures where investors contribute assets, receive shares and later redeem them. It combines the tools needed to manage those products, from investor access and deposit approvals to share records and withdrawals.
A central part of the VaultKit design is that institutions run it in their own environment, connected to their own Canton participant node. They keep control of their data and customer relationships while connecting the software to systems they already use, including custody, identity checks, pricing and fund administration.
Asset managers can decide who gets access to each vault and how investment and redemption requests are approved. Operations teams can follow activity across the product, while investors and counterparties see only their own transactions. The software also records shares, positions and updates to the vault’s net asset value.
Institutions can connect VaultKit directly to their existing software. An optional console gives staff a place to manage the product and investors a way to view their positions. The package also includes tools for setting up, monitoring and maintaining the Canton node.
The program is aimed at asset managers developing tokenized funds, banks and brokers managing collateral pools, and credit or treasury teams packaging strategies for clients. Design partners receive early access, a direct say in the roadmap and engineering support from Moonsong as the platform develops.
