SyncVotes has renewed its request for Canton Featured App status after launching a rebuilt version of its community-voting platform. The application would direct rewards toward the network costs members pay when taking part in governance.
The updated submission, published on September 29, follows an initial application made on September 1. It covers the same application identity and reflects the release of v2 on September 23.
SyncVotes lets a community form a group, add members, put forward proposals and vote on them. Changes to the group’s membership, voting shares, rules or visibility are carried out on Canton once approved. Other decisions remain recorded votes for the community to act on.
The rebuild gives members control of their signing keys in their own browsers. Before a transaction is signed, the browser checks that it matches the action requested.
Featured App rewards would help offset the cost of creating groups, submitting proposals, casting a first ballot and carrying out approved changes. The request remains an application, not confirmation that the status has been granted.
SyncVotes has operated on MainNet since July, with access currently by invitation. Its next prospective deployment is voting for POSTHUMAN, an independent community of about 2,600 stakers whose governance currently runs outside Canton. A move depends on viable transaction costs and the community’s approval.
The open-source project is also planning a separate treasury feature for payments approved by multiple signers. That remains a future addition.
