Temple’s success is visible in a live exchange, active products and growing network activity. Its trading data is distributed through an established market-data provider, and major financial and crypto firms have invested in or integrated with the business.

Temple’s role in the ecosystem is easy to understand. Canton brings assets onchain. Temple gives those assets a market where buyers and sellers can meet, prices can form and capital can move.

Temple’s markets include Canton Coin, USDCx and CBTC. The exchange gives Canton-native assets a place to find buyers, sellers and market prices directly within the network.

By July 1, 2026, Temple had recorded $250 million in cumulative trading volume and over 15 million transactions. It ranked first among 109 Featured Apps since it’s launch in January of 2026, accounting for 34.0% of the burn attributed across the Featured Apps in the snapshot.

The numbers show Temple’s measurable contribution to activity across Canton.

Fast trading with settlement on Canton

Temple’s Lightspeed system went live in April 2026.

Lightspeed supports sub-second order matching and capacity of more than 100,000 orders per second, giving Temple the performance needed to serve high-volume electronic markets.

Temple is also making the trading engine available to other organizations through Virtual Orderbooks. A bank, broker or asset issuer can configure its own market, choose who may trade and set the assets and trading hours. That turns Temple from one exchange into infrastructure that other businesses can build on.

The Market Engine Powering Canton’s Onchain Economy

Strong markets require usable rails for capital.

Temple has built those rails in stages. Its wallet integration connected the exchange to a non-custodial Canton wallet. Temple Bridge created a path for bridging assets in and out of Canton. Its HIFI partnership laid out direct bank-account funding and withdrawals for eligible customers, allowing dollars to move into stablecoins and back again.

From trading venue to market infrastructure

In May 2026, Kaiko added Temple to its institutional data platform. Temple’s trades, prices, volumes, liquidity and order-book data can now reach clients through the same type of feed they use to monitor other global exchanges.

The integration makes Temple activity easier for professional firms to compare, analyze and use inside their existing systems. It also gives the wider market a clearer view of pricing and liquidity on Canton.

Temple also integrated Chainlink Data Streams for market pricing. Alongside its developer tools and Virtual Orderbooks, that moves the business beyond a single exchange screen. Temple is becoming part of the machinery around a market: execution, settlement, pricing, data and connectivity.

A fast first year

Temple opened pre-launch registration in September 2025 and raised a $5 million seed round led by Paper Ventures the following month. Live trading began in January 2026, followed by the bridge, Lightspeed, Kaiko and Chainlink integrations, an SBI-led private investment round and the HIFI partnership.

By July 1, Temple had reached $250 million in volume and 23 million transactions. The pace matters. Temple moved from registration to a live exchange, faster trading infrastructure, external data distribution and multiple funding routes in less than a year.

Why Temple matters to Canton

Canton is designed for traders that need privacy, performance and compliance.

That level of institutional adoption creates demand for markets where capital can enter, prices can form and trades can settle.

Temple has delivered a working product, attracted credible partners and investors, and generated measurable activity on Canton. It is actively building the network’s market economy.
