Ankr has submitted a proposal to become a Canton Super Validator, with rewards linked to running infrastructure and bringing more activity to the network. The draft entered public discussion on September 24.
The proposed program would allow Ankr to earn a maximum reward weight of six across four milestones. The first two focus on connecting its nodes to Canton, demonstrating reliable operation and meeting a transaction-throughput target agreed with the network’s team. Together, those milestones account for four of the six available weight points.
A further point would depend on an Ankr Forge campaign designed to encourage activity on Canton. The final point would cover infrastructure that other businesses could offer under their own brands, helping applications connect to the network. Both initiatives would require agreement on their terms.
Ankr already operates blockchain infrastructure and validator services across multiple networks. Its Canton plan draws on that experience, with deployments proposed in the United States and Europe and monitoring intended to keep services available when an individual node fails.
The submission remains a draft under review. The transaction target and parts of the infrastructure arrangement still need to be finalized. Deployment would follow approval, and rewards would be released only after the relevant milestones are verified.
