Arqitech has deployed Canton Token Standard V2 in its Atomic Swap Protocol and said it has completed its first swaps on Canton MainNet with institutional counterparties.
The transactions allow institutions to exchange Canton Coin directly for assets on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and TRON. Each swap settles on an all-or-nothing basis, without bridges, wrapped assets or third-party custody.
Canton Token Standard V2 supports atomic settlement
Canton Token Standard V2 was approved by the Canton Foundation in June 2026. It was designed to support Canton’s integration with traditional and decentralised financial processes.
The standard introduces committed allocations, which lock the Canton side of a transaction until a defined settlement deadline. This provides the timing guarantees needed to coordinate settlement between Canton and another blockchain.
Arqitech collaborated with Digital Asset on the standard, which supports institutional use cases including atomic swaps and regulated real-world asset settlement.
Institutional Canton Coin-to-Bitcoin swap
sFOX CEO Javier Martinez confirmed that the company completed its first institutional native swap of Canton Coin to Bitcoin on MainNet through Arqitech’s protocol.
The transaction settled atomically while allowing the participants to retain custody and privacy throughout the process.
Participants retain control
Each participant signs its own transactions through an enterprise key-management system or a private node.
Canton validator nodes prepare and submit instructions that have already been signed by the participating institutions. This allows each party to retain control of its private keys and assets throughout settlement.
Arqitech said institutions can also continue using their existing compliance and accounting processes when completing transactions through the protocol.
Connecting Canton to external liquidity
Arqitech said its Atomic Swap Protocol now provides two-way, non-custodial connectivity between Canton and major digital-asset networks. The company also operates as a validator on Canton.
For Canton, the deployment connects Canton Coin with assets on selected public blockchains without relying on bridges or wrapped tokens. It expands the liquidity options available to institutional participants while maintaining Canton’s private settlement environment and institutional operating standards.
