TSV revises its Canton disclosures as the SEC debate continues
TSV LLC’s public notice is now version 1.2, dated October 23. It describes a planned venue for trading tokenized US stocks through liquidity pools on Canton under the SEC’s temporary, conditional exemption for tokenized securities venues.
Compared with version 1.1, the revised notice removes a sentence saying TSV had engaged SEC staff about how the exemption’s public, permissionless blockchain condition applied to its intended Canton architecture. No reason is given. TSV retains its position that Canton meets that condition, distinguishing access controls inside an application from participation in the underlying network.
The debate concerns what makes a blockchain “public, permissionless”: who can participate without prior approval, and who controls the network. The Solana Policy Institute’s October 22 letter asks the SEC to focus on who can control validation, transactions and changes to a network. October 23 reporting by Crypto In America describes competing industry views and quotes an SEC official saying firms need not wait for individual approval if they meet the exemption’s conditions.
The SEC’s notice list does not establish that a venue complies or has the agency’s endorsement. TSV’s homepage still says trading is not available, and its notice says production venue contracts have not yet been deployed.
This is TSV LLC’s proposed pool-based venue, separate from Tradecraft ATS, the order-book market Texture Capital plans to operate using Obsidian technology.
Ekiden resumes trading
Ekiden confirmed on October 23 that its upgrade was complete, all exchange functions were available and trading had resumed on new infrastructure.
Before the work, the exchange had asked users to close positions and withdraw assets. The new post confirms restoration of service. It does not announce a decision on Ekiden’s separate settlement-recognition application.
Fluvia seeks Featured App status for its browser wallet
Maouam Nodelab has applied for Featured App status for Fluvia Wallet. The October 24 filing describes a browser wallet that requires no extension and currently controls access through invite codes.
The applicant says Fluvia has transacted on MainNet since September 18 and its public app has been available since October 9. Listed features include CC and USDCx transfers, comparison of Cantex and OneSwap routes, and entry to Canton from Ethereum and Base. Those dates and functions are the applicant’s account of an existing product, rather than a new launch on October 24.
The application says reward markers, the records used to claim app rewards, remain disabled on MainNet pending approval. Results from local-network tests of that marker logic are still to be supplied.
Norvault extends its Bacon-linked offering by two weeks
Norvault has extended the offer and tender timetable for Bacon Series 001. The October 23 notice says existing applications remain valid and the other terms are unchanged.

The original timetable and Norvault’s October 23 extension. Dates are in 2026; issuance and token delivery remain subject to the issuer’s completion conditions.
The offering opened in October. Its notes provide indirect exposure to Art Share 002 Class B shares linked to a Francis Bacon painting, rather than ownership of the artwork. The extension does not establish that the notes have been issued or a secondary trading market is available.
Obsidian submits its package-identity repository for review
Obsidian Systems has submitted the first milestone of its package-distribution project to the Canton Development Fund. It is a public repository linking software publishers and auditors to their signing keys, with identities registered for Obsidian, Halborn and the Canton Foundation.
The submission describes rules requiring approval from both Obsidian and the Foundation for identity changes. Its verification guide explains how developers can check that a repository revision satisfies those rules.
The approved proposal assigns 520,000 CC to this milestone. The new event is submission for review; acceptance and payment have not been established.
Two shorter ecosystem updates
Silvana backs a proposed verification tool. CTO Michael Korotkikh has endorsed o1Labs’ Merkle Attestation Sidecar proposal and expressed interest in integrating it into Silvana Orderbook. The proposed service would help applications prove selected facts about private contract records. Its 10,231,000 CC request is part of the October funding votes and remains undecided. The endorsement is not an integration launch or funding approval.
Taran adds Nigerian naira support. The team says the currency is now available in Taran App, connecting local currency with stablecoins and mobile money. Taran has an existing Canton relationship through Cantor8. Its new announcement does not identify Canton as the settlement network for Nigerian-naira transfers.
