Canton 3.5.19 is available, bringing fixes to the software that helps network nodes agree on the order of transactions. The maintenance release was published on September 23.
One change fixes a memory leak that could arise during recovery or a change in the nodes coordinating agreement. Another addresses a timing problem when connections between nodes are created, which could produce warnings and disrupt connection management.
The release also limits how much confirmation data is bundled into a single resent message. That prevents those messages from exceeding their maximum permitted size.
Operators get more detailed logs for certain transitions, helping them investigate situations where transaction ordering stops making progress. These changes focus on keeping the underlying infrastructure reliable and making problems easier to diagnose.
A separate update moves the AWS software development kit to version 2.55.2 to address a security vulnerability in a dependency.
The release supports Canton protocol versions 34 and 35. Node operators can review the compatibility information and download packages in the official release notes.
