Canton’s developer update adds dAppBooster demos and setup guides

BootNode’s dAppBooster write-up adds live examples and setup guides to Canton’s recent developer-tooling roundup. The open-source starter combines a local Canton environment with wallet connections and reusable interface components, giving builders a working example to adapt.

BootNode has published a detailed overview of dAppBooster’s first milestone, with live examples and guides for teams building Canton applications. The Canton Development Fund supported the work.

The open-source starter brings together a local Canton environment, wallet connections and interface components developers can reuse. Its setup command starts the local network, deploys the application’s Daml package and checks that the services are running.

Wallet signing uses Canton’s standard application interface. That allows the starter to work with compliant wallets without developers writing a separate connection for each one.

The write-up links a Canton Coin vesting example, showing how coins can be released over time, and a second demo that does not require a separate wallet connection. Both give builders an example to explore alongside the installation instructions and getting-started tutorial.

The underlying version was already included in Canton’s September 28 developer roundup. The October 5 announcement supplies more detail about the milestone and its public examples, rather than establishing a first-ever launch.

That earlier roundup also brought together tools for finding information and investigating applications. The official documentation and Developer Hub include AI-assisted search, while Walnut’s transaction inspector and Certora’s Daml analyzer help developers inspect transactions and understand how their code fits together.

Builders can explore dAppBooster, its setup guides and the public code repository, or read the milestone overview.
