Cantor8 has named the winners of its Build on Canton hackathon. Team Mandate took first place, followed by Lattice Scan, Vorem and DamnLE.

The results were announced on October 5 for the event held in London on August 29. The one-day hackathon brought developers, founders and students together to work with Daml, Canton's smart contract language.

Team Mandate focused on giving AI agents controlled spending authority. Judges highlighted limits on how much an agent can spend, who it can transact with and the ability to withdraw its permission to act.

Lattice Scan placed second for its implementation of a private index covering Canton holdings and activity. Vorem came third, with a focus on security and carefully applied restrictions and checks. DamnLE placed fourth for connecting policy rules with the way its application works.

Vectorasset, Privity and Agent Mandate received honorable mentions.

The judging panel included representatives from the Canton Foundation, Dedge Security, Alchemy and 7RIDGE. It assessed submissions for their technical quality, security, institutional relevance and commercial potential.

Some projects outside the final prize list will also be considered for the next phase. Cantor8 has teased further details about its accelerator, but has not announced admissions or prize amounts.
