DIA has submitted a proposal to the Canton Development Fund for an open-source tool that checks market data from multiple providers before financial applications use it. The funding request is for up to 8.4 million Canton Coin.
The proposed Multi-Oracle Aggregator would give lending, collateral and other price-dependent applications one way to check whether data is current and consistent. An application could require several providers to agree, or check its preferred source against independent references.
The system would flag when too few valid inputs remain. Developers could also replace data providers without redesigning their application's connection to the checking layer.
DIA plans to use existing Canton data standards where applicable. Other providers and application teams could use the software without having to buy DIA data.
The six-month plan sets a 12-week delivery schedule covering development, an independent security review and initial MainNet deployment. Core delivery accounts for 6.4 million CC, while up to 2 million CC would depend on verified adoption by qualifying data feeds.
The request remains under review, rather than an approved grant. The proposed tool is not a completed deployment.
