Edel has integrated Alpaca Markets’ brokerage and equity-data infrastructure. The September 10 announcement adds brokerage technology and stock-market data to the Canton project’s infrastructure.
Alpaca provides brokerage technology that financial platforms can use to build services around investment accounts and trading. Its market-data services supply current and historical stock-market information, including prices and trading activity.
The team is building private perpetual markets on Canton, where traders can take positions on asset prices using contracts without a fixed expiry. Its September 9 development update also confirmed the use of Chainlink price feeds for crypto and commodities.
Edel’s website lists Runway and its validator infrastructure as live on Canton. Edel Markets, its planned trading venue, remains listed as coming soon.
