ForecastDesk has applied for Featured App status on Canton after going live on MainNet on September 17.
Built by Microsystems Express Telecom, the prediction platform lets users take positions on event outcomes, including cryptocurrency price movements. A trader chooses a side, sets a price limit and approves the transaction from a connected Canton wallet.
The platform is designed to make the terms visible before money moves. Each market displays its question, trading fees, closing time and rules for deciding the result. Users can sell before trading closes or hold their position through the outcome and claim any eligible payout.
Trades use Canton Coin, with the payment and corresponding outcome shares settled together. If part of a transaction fails, the whole transaction is rolled back. ForecastDesk does not receive users’ private keys, and trades require authorization through their own wallets.
Canton’s privacy model keeps positions and transaction details visible to the relevant participants and the validators serving them, rather than broadcasting them across the network.
The Featured App request covers completed transactions such as buying, selling and redeeming positions. ForecastDesk would seek rewards for actual CC transfers and settlements, excluding failed requests, duplicate submissions and zero-value activity.
The application lists Digital Asset as its Super Validator sponsor. Featured App status is being requested through Canton’s governance process.
Microsystems Express brings a telecommunications and electrical-engineering background to the project. Its business services span network infrastructure, power systems and enterprise blockchain, backed by more than 30 years of operations.
ForecastDesk’s Featured App application sets out the transactions covered by its request and the controls used to prevent duplicate or artificial activity.
