Hecto has introduced Neoprime, a Canton token designed to give holders exposure to a group of companies that are not yet listed on a stock exchange.
The October 13 launch announcement describes $NEOPRIME as backed by shares in private companies. Cantex plans to offer trading.
Neoprime focuses on defence, advanced manufacturing, robotics and the financial businesses serving them. Its introduction on the Canton Forum names Anduril, Shield AI, Prometheus, Figure AI and Erebor Bank.
From predictions to a private-company basket
The new token gives a specific form to Hecto’s earlier roadmap. In August’s product announcement, the team outlined three routes: prediction markets, tokenized exposure to baskets of private companies, and access to larger investments for qualified participants.
Neoprime puts a named theme and a planned trading venue behind the basket approach. Hecto also plans further pre-IPO tokens with different themes, extending its range beyond this initial group of companies.
The appeal of that structure is straightforward. A participant could gain exposure to several businesses through one product rather than arrange a separate investment in each. Here, the common thread is an industrial theme spanning defence, robotics and related finance. Holding several companies under that theme should not be confused with a broadly diversified portfolio: their prospects can still be affected by some of the same developments.
That is a different use from Hecto Predictions, the existing app where users allocate $HECTO to express a view on daily movements in private companies. Predictions centres on participants’ calls about performance. Neoprime is intended to provide investment exposure through underlying shares.

A different asset for the same venue
Hecto’s utility token, HECTO, is already available on Cantex. The planned Neoprime listing would add a different type of asset: a token designed for private-company exposure.
As with any share-backed token, the product documents determine what the holder receives. Hecto’s broader private-market product information separates economic exposure from direct equity rights and makes eligibility and transfers dependent on product terms. The backing described in Neoprime’s announcement does not by itself establish direct shareholder rights in each named company.
Opening trading on Cantex would turn the announced token into a market participants can use. Until then, the concrete advance is a themed product that connects Hecto’s private-market plans with a Canton trading venue.
