Meriq seeks Featured App status for its Canton swap venue

Meriq has applied for Featured App status for its Canton asset-swap venue.

The application, submitted by Anoetic Labs LLC on October 5, covers a venue where approved market makers compete to provide liquidity for swaps. Meriq compares their available quotes and routes a trade to the best eligible price for its size, subject to the venue's checks and limits.

Each market maker manages its own inventory, pricing and risk. Both sides of a successful trade settle together, or neither does. Checks cover quote expiry, available reserves and the user's price limits.

Meriq began operating on MainNet in a controlled launch on September 17. Its current public markets include CC/USDCx and cBTC/USDCx, with limited markets and liquidity providers while it prepares for expansion. Its intended users include traders, treasury teams and other Canton applications.

The request ties reward-earning activity to completed swaps, not quote updates, failed transactions or routine liquidity management.

Meriq has not yet completed an independent smart contract audit. It plans to do so before materially increasing production limits. Featured App status remains requested, not approved. The application concerns recognition for an existing operation, rather than a new MainNet launch.
