Canton updates from November 6, rechecked November 7. Source.
A funding request to build Canton’s next app-reward system leads this edition, alongside open registration at The Hub and new trading figures from Supanova, Canborsa and Tradecraft.
The updates below were announced on November 6, with an earlier uncovered Certora tool announcement from late November 5. Proposal and service statuses were rechecked on November 7.
5.85 million CC requested for app-reward changes
Digital Asset and Obsidian Systems have requested 5.85 million CC to implement the amended traffic-based app-reward system. The proposed work covers a software release, activation on MainNet and maintenance.
Canton approved the CIP-0104 amendment in October. The intended change is to measure eligible app activity from the network data used to coordinate transactions. Here, traffic means transaction data, rather than website visits or the value of a trade.
- Digital Asset: 2.35 million CC requested.
- Obsidian Systems: 3.5 million CC requested, including 750,000 CC for maintenance.
The grant remains a proposal. Approving the reward design, funding its implementation and switching it on are separate steps.

The Hub opens registration to everyone
The Hub has removed its access-code requirement. New users can now register without an invitation, then explore its tickets, short videos and live rooms. The change widens access to the existing social platform.
Three trading updates, three different measures
Supanova: the launchpad reported 20 million CC in trading volume, following its November 3 launch on Canton. The milestone post does not specify a measurement period, so it should not be read as a new 24-hour figure.
A separate November 6 service notice said new-wallet creation was temporarily unavailable while Canton MainNet was being prepared for an upgrade. Supanova had not posted a recovery notice in the public updates checked on November 7. The notice concerns creating new wallets, rather than announcing a halt to all trading.
Canborsa: the first week of Trading Arena Season 2 recorded $6,671,656 in competition volume and 551 traders. Canborsa counted 410 participants as first-time perpetuals traders. Perpetuals are price-tracking contracts with no expiry date; they are different from simply buying and holding a token.
Tradecraft: the platform reported more than $2.4 million in volume over 14 days. These figures cover different platforms, periods and scopes, so they should not be added together or treated as a market-share ranking.
Two reward decisions move forward
SBC: Tokenomics has cleared Stable Coin Inc.’s Featured App application for Super Validator on-chain voting. Featured status affects eligibility for network rewards; the committee decision is a step towards establishing that status, rather than evidence that the final on-chain approval is complete.
Canton Strategic Holdings: the same notice submits a confirmed calculation of 2,977,563.3066 CC for on-chain approval and distribution. It also requests an additional 1.375 in reward weight for the October 15 holding review, bringing active weight to 6.875 out of a maximum 11 if implemented. The new step is confirmation and submission of the calculation, rather than a reported payment.
Tools for builders, and two fresh votes
Certora’s Package Analyzer maps how bundles of Daml application code interact, including when their source code is unavailable. The November 5 forum announcement points developers to the open-source tool. It helps explain dependencies; it does not replace a security audit. A live walkthrough is scheduled for November 19 at 15:00 UTC.
- Verify before sign: FTP’s software-adoption milestone has entered an acceptance vote. The work is intended to help wallet software check transaction data before signing. Voting does not establish that the milestone has passed or been paid.
- Canton Privy SDK: a new 21-day funding vote opened after the previous vote fell short of the required support. The earlier result recorded 20% in favour and no votes against; it did not meet the 51% passing threshold.
