Digital Asset has introduced a way to check whether a Canton asset transfer has completed without revealing confidential transaction details. Bybit has already integrated the service.
The Proof of Transfer API, provided by DA Registry, gives wallets, exchanges and explorers a common way to show whether a transfer succeeded, is pending, failed or entered an error state.
For users, the process is similar to checking a payment’s progress. A supported wallet or exchange provides the transfer’s details in a package called a Transfer Object. The user can enter it into a compatible explorer to check the status independently.
That matters on a network where transaction information is shared only with the parties entitled to see it. A recipient can verify a payment’s status without relying solely on the sender or making the underlying details public.
Bybit’s integration supports checks on transfers of Canton privacy-enabled assets, including USDCx, between exchanges and wallets. DA Registry has also added the feature for holders of assets issued through its platform.
The service gives those users a clearer way to follow a transfer while keeping Canton’s privacy protections in place.
