HQLAᵡ Announces Strategic Investments from Broadridge and Digital Asset
HQLAᵡ has announced that it has secured strategic minority investments from Broadridge Financial Solutions and Digital Asset in its Series C-1 funding round. The company said the investment will support its next phase of growth on Canton.
Supporting the Next Phase of Growth
According to HQLAᵡ, the funding will support the continued evolution of its technology platform, collaboration with Broadridge’s Distributed Ledger Repo platform, and a planned migration to the Canton Network. These initiatives are intended to support regulated market use cases across the global securities finance and repo industry.
Focus on Collateral Mobility
HQLAᵡ CEO Guido Stroemer said the investment marks a key milestone as the company continues building market infrastructure for collateral mobility. He said the backing from Broadridge and Digital Asset reflects growing momentum behind interoperable, privacy-preserving blockchain solutions, with Canton enabling connectivity across regulated capital markets.
Broadridge said HQLAᵡ addresses inefficiencies in collateral mobility and that the investment reflects its commitment to improving efficiency, resiliency, and capital optimization across the securities finance ecosystem. Digital Asset said collateral mobility is a core requirement for modern market infrastructure and that HQLAᵡ has demonstrated how to deliver it in a way that meets the needs of regulated institutions.
Board Appointments and Regulatory Approval
As part of the transaction, representatives from Broadridge and Digital Asset will join the HQLAᵡ Board. HQLAᵡ said the planned board appointments and the migration to the Canton Network remain subject to regulatory approval from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.
Looking Ahead
HQLAᵡ said the strategic investment builds on its broader ecosystem of partnerships across banks, market infrastructure providers, and technology firms as it continues expanding adoption of digital collateral mobility solutions across the wider securities finance ecosystem.
