Digital Asset Holdings is listed among the respondents to a UK consultation on tokenised financial markets.

The Financial Conduct Authority and Bank of England published their feedback statement on September 14 after receiving 123 responses. The findings will shape a joint roadmap due later in 2026.

Moving collateral was the most frequently mentioned use case. Collateral is cash or assets put up to back financial obligations. Respondents wanted clearer rules on which tokenised assets could qualify, with money market funds attracting particular interest.

The roadmap will set out the regulators’ next steps and target dates for wholesale tokenisation. The FCA also plans to consult in the first half of 2027 on how firms should safeguard tokenised versions of traditional investments.

A separate FCA call for input on tokenised gold opened the same day. It asks how digital representations of gold ownership could improve trading, transfers and the use of gold as collateral in UK wholesale markets. The consultation also examines challenges and the existing regulatory framework. Responses close on October 23.
