Moonsong Labs has joined the Canton Network ecosystem as a Service Provider, adding another specialist engineering partner for financial institutions preparing to build on Canton.
The company said the listing recognizes its dedicated Canton practice and Daml-certified engineering team, which helps institutions design and build production-grade applications. Alongside the announcement, Moonsong released a free Canton Readiness Guide for organizations evaluating their first Canton deployment.
The move addresses a practical challenge. For banks, custodians, asset managers, and other regulated financial institutions, adopting institutional blockchain infrastructure is not just a strategic decision. It requires choices about architecture, node operations, resource dependencies, custody workflows, and compliance-sensitive asset design.
Moonsong’s Canton practice is built around that implementation layer. The firm says its work covers Daml smart contract development, node setup, CIP-56 and CIP-103 compliant asset workflows, and Global Synchronizer integration. The use cases it highlights include tokenized treasuries, global collateral mobility, atomic delivery-versus-payment settlement, stablecoin and payments infrastructure, real-world asset tokenization, and institutional vault products.
Canton’s appeal to regulated finance rests on a specific problem: how to use shared infrastructure without broadly exposing sensitive information. According to Moonsong, Canton now processes more than $9 trillion in monthly settlements across more than 700 institutions, with live deployments from Broadridge, DTCC, and J.P. Morgan.
Moonsong is offering two main engagement models. The first is a Canton Readiness Sprint, a four-to-six-week fixed-scope engagement intended to take institutions from limited Canton experience to a production-ready operational plan and implementation roadmap. The second is Canton Application Development, an end-to-end Daml engineering engagement focused on compliant architecture and security-first workflows.
Viv Diwaker, Head of the Canton Foundation, welcomed Moonsong as a Service Provider and pointed to Daml-certified engineering partners as important for helping institutions move faster from evaluation to production. Derek Yoo, Moonsong’s chief executive and co-founder, positioned the firm’s role around identifying deployment blind spots, clarifying architecture requirements, and helping capital markets institutions build systems ready for live use.
For Canton, Moonsong strengthens the services layer around the network. For institutions, it gives the path to deployment a clearer shape: assess readiness, map the operational requirements, and build with an engineering partner already focused on Canton’s technical stack.
