Rocky has launched spot trading on Canton, moving its exchange from earlier product previews to an announced live market. Its October 28 update says futures trading is planned within the following two weeks.
Ember also announced that Ember Gold, or eXAU, is available to trade on Rocky. That identifies a specific asset following the teams’ September plan to widen access to tokenized assets through the exchange.
What is live, and what is still planned?
Spot trading exchanges one asset for another. Rocky’s broader documentation also describes perpetual futures, which give price exposure without a fixed expiry date. The distinction matters here: Rocky’s dated launch announcement identifies spot as live and futures as the next release.

Rocky’s website and documentation describe a broader platform that includes perpetual markets. The October 28 announcement gives the more specific launch sequence; its two-week futures target is a plan, not confirmation that those markets have opened.
How the spot account works
The spot-trading guide describes a separate trading-account balance. A user connects a supported wallet and approves a deposit into that account. Orders use the credited balance, rather than funds still held in the connected wallet.
The guide describes limit orders, which specify the maximum price to buy or the minimum price to sell. Assets received after an order fills are credited to the Rocky trading account; returning them to a wallet requires a withdrawal. Connecting a wallet alone therefore does not fund an order.
Available markets, fees and trading conditions can change. Rocky directs users to the live interface for the current settings. CantonNews has reviewed the announcements and public documentation but has not placed an order or verified a deposit or withdrawal.
From the Ember plan to a named asset
The September 25 Rocky–Ember cooperation announcement described wider access to tokenized assets without naming a first asset or trading pair. The new eXAU announcement is a more concrete step: Ember now names an asset that can be traded on Rocky.
That does not establish the rollout of every earlier preview. Rocky’s October dark-pool preview for large trades was not officially open at the time, and the new spot announcement does not confirm its activation. The next stated release is futures trading.
